What causes Computer Viruses?

Virus attacks are perhaps the greatest threats faced by computer users. Nowadays everybody uses the internet and usually it is accessed through the computer. The internet is the main culprit or source of computer viruses and the medium through which it spreads.
There are nerds or computer hackers or idle evil minded genius and computer geeks who create virus, Trojan worms, root kit virus, spy ware, malware, and other such malicious and dangerous software programs – commonly known as virus – usually with an evil intention and then spread the viruses through the internet, through harmless looking emails etc.
An unsuspecting individual, while opening this email, usually sent from an unknown source, will also download this virus unknowingly. Viruses often travel to your computer when you transfer or download music clippings or music files or movies into your computer.
This virus will enter your computer and start spreading wings; it will make its nest in one of the systems and then start attacking all the other systems. Usually the C drive is the first one to fall prey to a virus attack. When your computer is attacked by a virus it will either make your computer crash or it will delete important files or it will change files or damage file systems – in short it will create havoc inside your computer.
There are other kinds of viruses which will make your keyboard and mouse stop functioning and wont let you access the internet easily.
That is why it is so important to protect your computer through a reputed and standard anti virus system such as Norton antivirus – arguably the best in the business and pretty costly, Kaspersky anti virus program – one of the most popular and highly effective anti virus programs, McAffee, Avast Antivirus etc.
In fact there are numerous good anti virus packages available in the market and it is highly imperative that you fortify your computer with one.

Yes you are correct. But think of a situation that anti virus programme does not identify the threat since updates are available after the threat. Virus guard can guarantee removing of viruses more than 95%. So I’ll tell you my opinion on this, though you may think I am crazy. I have installed Windows and Linux on my computer (It is dual boot). When something seems to be risky in Windows for example cleaning my flash drive used in other computer, I will first use Linux to clean it (I think linux developers may not get angry with me). We simply identify many viruses in flash drive when we open the drive. So I delete them and then used in windows after scanning by a reputed anti virus programme.
